Are you experienced in designing floating structures? Are you interested in the design of floating substations in deeper waters? Are you motivated by responsibility, professional growth, and project-oriented work? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for your expertise in our Renewable Energy department in Copenhagen.

Experience a dynamic work environment with varied tasks

We are pioneering the development of the world's first floating substation based on our existing fixed-bottom offshore substations. As a leading consulting company, we currently hold over 60% of the market share in offshore substations. Our track record includes designing the world's first substation in 2001, and we have ambitious plans to design the world's next groundbreaking substation in the near future. Our current focus involves collaborating with our partners on developing a floating substation, including basin testing in conjunction with a university. Additionally, we are engaged in designing floating substations for numerous clients.

As a Naval Architect specializing in floating substations, you will assume responsibility for projects, performance, and the development of our floating expertise within our team. You will lead the floating aspect of substations and participate in all project phases, from the tender stage to execution. Your role will ensure efficient and successful floating designs for offshore substations in collaboration with a team of 3D designers, engineers, and project managers.

As a world leader in substation design for offshore wind farms, you will collaborate with customers, partners, and colleagues with diverse expertise and from various geographical locations.

Your daily tasks will include, among others:

  • Participating in concept selection and design of floating structure substations.
  • Contributing to tender projects for floating substations.
  • Designing and overseeing engineering activities related to floating substations.
  • Participating in concept development and optimization of technical solutions.
  • Enhancing our floating competencies.
  • Collaborating with the Vice President of the department to establish long-term goals for the floating substation group.
  • A flat organizational structure that encourages swift action and open communication.

You will be part of our Renewable Energy Department in Copenhagen, consisting of Danish and international employees. The atmosphere is informal, professionalism is highly valued, and we cultivate a supportive and enjoyable work environment.

While prior knowledge in areas such as substations, HVAC and HVDC systems, floating substations, and green hydrogen is advantageous, you will have the opportunity to rapidly acquire and expand your understanding of these concepts.

  • Knowledge of hull structure design
  • Demonstrated commitment, drive, and proactivity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:
